LifeCycle is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal data should remain personal. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
The short version: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or have access to any of your information.
Information Collection
LifeCycle does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- No account creation or login required
- No personal data is transmitted to any server
- No analytics or tracking of any kind
- No advertising or ad networks
- No third-party SDKs that collect data
Data Storage
All data you enter into LifeCycle is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Your profile information (housing type, household details)
- Tasks you create or import
- Completion history and schedules
- App preferences and settings
This data is stored in a private container that only the LifeCycle app can access. It is not shared with other apps or services.
Third-Party Services
LifeCycle does not use any third-party services that could access your data:
- No analytics: We don't use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, or any other analytics service
- No crash reporting: We don't use Crashlytics or similar services
- No advertising: We don't show ads or use advertising networks
- No social features: There are no social sharing features that could expose your data
Notifications
LifeCycle uses local notifications to remind you of upcoming tasks. These notifications:
- Are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device
- Do not require any server communication
- Can be disabled at any time in your device settings or within the app
Data Security
Since all your data stays on your device, it benefits from iOS's built-in security features:
- Device encryption (when passcode is enabled)
- Sandboxed app storage
- iOS security updates from Apple
We recommend keeping your device updated and using a strong passcode for maximum security.
Data Deletion
You have complete control over your data:
- Delete individual tasks: Swipe to delete any task within the app
- Reset all data: Use the "Delete All Data" option in Settings
- Remove the app: Uninstalling LifeCycle removes all associated data from your device
Children's Privacy
LifeCycle does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we don't collect any personal information from any user, there is no children's data to protect. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever need to change this privacy policy, we will update this page and note the revision date. However, our core commitment remains unchanged: your data stays on your device.
